RUSKA (S)
The oven-proof Ruska (Autumn foliage) ware by Ulla Procopé, was first produced in 1961. Robustly shaped Ruska, or the S model, was made of stoneware. The living finish on the surface of all the Ruska articles was also designed by Ulla Procopé. Arabia's laboratory developed its own technique for creating this pattern.
The S model was also produced in hand-painted versions under the names Anemone and Rosmarini, as well as Kosmos (Cosmos) which was a special underglaze pattern designed by Gunvor Olin-Grönqvist. Ruska became one of Arabia's most persistent models, still being produced without a break in 1999.
