Göran Bäck's modern catering service (GB), intended for use in restaurants, cafés, hospitals and schools, was introduced in 1969. Considerable thought was put in to making the service meet the requirements of catering establishments: the edges of the plates were strengthened , draining grooves left in the base and all the articles were stackable and dishwasher-proof, as was the case already at the time with many of Arabia's services.
The GB service was produced in plain white as Kesti (Banquet, in the picture), in blue as Kievari (Inn), in green as Kerho (Club), in speckled brown as Krouvi (Pub), in matt-black as Korpi (Wilderness), and with a lined decoration as Kasino (Casino). All the decorations were designed by Göran Bäck.
